The following series attempts to show a plan behind the beginning of the war against Croatia. In pursuing the creation of a Greater Serbia as the goal, the Serbs began with ethnic purification of the sought-after territories in order to alter the ethnic composition of the area, no matter what the proportion between the Serb and other population was. The techniques applied were:

(a) to drive out all non-Serbs by psychological pressure using terror and threats;
(b) isolating people from the rest of Croatia by putting up road blockades;
(c) heavy bombardment, massacring of those who stayed, property looting;
(d) destruction of cultural monuments and land registry records.
