10th April 2020.
The Croatian Prime Minister
sent a congratulatory message to Croatian Catholic believers

Croatian Prime Minister Andrek Plenkovic

On Saturday the Croatian Prime Minister issued his Easter greeting to the Croatian faithful who celebrate Easter according to the Gregorian calendar.

In his Easter greeting Prime Minister Andrej PlenkoviŠ voiced his hope that the spirit of the greatest Christian holiday will give strength to the faithful and encourage them and Croatian society as a whole to emerge from complex and trying times even stronger.

"We welcome this Easter under new and specific circumstances that have significantly changed our way of life to date. Therefore, let the spirit of the greatest Christian holiday encourage us to overcome these challenging periods through solidarity, togetherness and responsibility. I believe that we will emerge from this even stronger and more unified," PlenkoviŠ said.

PlenkoviŠ called on citizens to not forget basic human values, to be there for one another, and to continue to pay special attention and to have understanding for those who need help during these trying times.

The prime minister concluded his greeting by saying: "On behalf of the Croatian Government and in my own name, I sincerely wish that for all of you this great feast is filled with peace, faith, hope and family togetherness. I wish you a happy and blessed Easter."
