President, government agree on ambassadorial rotations

Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic and the government have agreed on the rotation of ambassadors whose terms are expiring this year, according to an unofficial statement from the Croatian foreign ministry.

According to information from the latest issue of the Official Gazette, the terms are expiring for Ambassador Gordan Bakota in Austria, Zlatko Kramaric in Macedonia, and Jasna Ognjanovac in Ireland, and they will be succeeded by Vesna Cvjetkovic Kurelec, Danijela Barisic and Ivan Masina respectively.

Also, the current permanent representative in the Croatian mission to the United Nations in Geneva, Vesna Vukovic, will be succeeded by Vesna Batistic.

The ambassadorial term of Vesela Mrdjen Kovac in the Netherlands is expiring soon too, but her successor has not yet been nominated.

According to diplomatic sources, Croatia's future ambassadors to Norway, Canada and Romania, Hrvoje Marusic, Zorica Matkovic and Davor Vidis respectively, have already received the green light from the countries where they will serve as diplomats.
