Washington, DC: The National Federation of Croatian Americans (NFCA) Cultural Foundation is pleased to announce the two new Co-Chairs for the Congressional Croatian Caucus. After much discussion and input from many Croatian Americans and Members of Congress, NFCA President Paul Tonsetic-Kunder announced that Representatives Janice Hahn (D-CA) of San Pedro and David Joyce (R-OH) of NE Ohio have agreed to serve as leaders of the Croatian Caucus in the 113th Congress.

President Tonsetic-Kunder noted that: "Our talented and well-traveled Ambassador from Croatia, H.E. Josko Paro, has already attended a spirited event at the San Pedro Croatian American Club with Congresswoman Hahn. San Pedro has a significant number of Croatian Americans, and they are very active. It will be great to have input from Rep. Hahn and her constituents on matters important to all Croatian Americans."

Mr. Tonsetic-Kunder also underlined that: "Congressman Joyce's district near Cleveland is known to be in the top three jurisdictions for Croatian American citizens. We really look forward to working with Rep. Joyce as we move forward on Croatian American issues in Washington.”
NFCA’s current priorities include the admittance of Croatia in the future expansion of the Visa Waiver Program, which is also a top priority for the Croatian government. In addition, NFCA is seeking passage of Alaska Senator Mark Begich's resolution - S. Res. 131. The Begich Resolution seeks the appointment of a Presidential Special Envoy to evaluate the successes and shortcomings to date of the Dayton Peace Agreement and to provide policy guidance to the Congress related to the persistent political and economic difficulties affecting Croatian Bosnians in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
