Weather/Climate

The geographical position of this region is typically Mediterranean, with mild and damp winters and hot and humid summers. The average air temperature is 17,3 C and the summer sea temperatur is 22C . The town Hvar (on the island Hvar) is the sunniest city in Croatia. There are many sunny days during the winter months.
The gentle wind Maestral - the messenger of lovely weather, refreshes the average summer temperature of 27 C. During the cooler months, the Bura ans Jugo winds prevail.
Currency: National currency is Croatian Kuna(Kn): banknotes of 5,10,20,50,100,200,500,1000 Kunas and coins of 1,2,5,10,20,50 lipas (1 Kn =100 lipas).The money can be exchanged in official exchange offices (banks, post offices, hotels, tourist agencies) according to the current exchange rates.
